With support from State Information & Public Relations Department, a state level de-addiction campaign was organized at Hamirpur today. Some 58 participants from all over the state participated in various features like declamation, slogan writing and paintings competitions.
The camp was inaugurated by Ms. Nandita Gupta, the Deputy Commissioner of Hamirpur. The camp will continue for one more day. Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that addictions give way to social crimes and are also a part of moral crimes. Asking the youth to come forward to bring a change, she pointed out that there was a dire need of adopting a reformist approach towards addicts.
She appreciated the role of Information and Public Relations department for the humble beginning.
