KUMARHATTI: An Army man has accused to use a teenaged girl for his sexual needs on the pretext to marry the girl. In a compliant lodged by the victim (19) today at Nalagarh police station , Sikender who was employed in the unit based in Jammu and Kashmir was exploiting the girl sexually from the past over one year. The girl hailed from a village adjoining Nalagarh. The accused also hailed from same village.
As per girl, last year on February 7 when she had gone to pay obeisance at a Pir Bawa shrine near her village, Sikender forcibly kidnapped her. Sikender had raped the girl before managing to convince the girl about marriage. The helpless girl had no option than to fall to Sikender’s trap. After that the both involved in a relation. Sikender used to get physical with girl whenever he came on leave.
On March 6, Sikender has again come on leave. He has again involved in sexual relation with the girl. However he refused to marry the girl when she asked for this. On March 15, a panchayat was also convened to settle the issue but here again the accused refused to get married with victim. This has forced the girl’s family to approach the police.
A case under section 376, 506 and 120 B of IPC has been registered. The accused was still at large.
