Tractor driver found murdered in Baddi

KUMARHATTI: The mystery shrouds the death of a tractor driver, Prem Lal (35) whose blood stained dead body has recovered in the tractor’s trolley at Doon Tempo Union office on Baddi-Barotiwala road near Baddi today. The body was noticed by a passerby at around 11 am who informed the tractor owner, Randeep Singh Negi. Negi informed the police who took the body under its custody.

The deceased a father of six children was hailed from Bhadhiyon in Uttar Pradesh. He was engaged as driver with Negi’s tractor from 12th January this year. The deceased was putting up along with his family in the slum area adjoining the Balad river.

There were multiple injuries marks on deceased body with one right up the right eye was severe. According to Somwati the deceased wife, she had called up her husband mobile from neighbour’s mobile at around 8 pm. The deceased had reportedly told her wife to return in two–three hours. Later when the deceased failed to return back home her wife presumed that he might have stayed somewhere for some work.

As per Randeep Singh Negi the deceased had called him up last evening and informed about day work status.

Meanwhile a senior police officer has said that the murder appeared to be done at some other place. In night the body was seemed to be dumped along with tractor trolley, he maintained.
Though the deceased wife has not suspected anybody, a massive search drive was launched to nab the murderers, officer added.
