Shimla: Governor VS Kokje today notified holding of the budget session which has been scheduled from March 4 to April 11. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is to present the new government first budget on March 7, an official communiqué stated.
The Budget session would begin with the Governor’s address. In all the house will have 23 sittings. After presentation of the budget, there would be a 9 day recess in which the standing committee would get to scrutinize the demand of grants.
Three days have been earmarked for Private Members Business and other than passing of the supplementary Budget for 2007-08, the House would also deliberate on important legislative business during the session.
