Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister, Kishan Kapoor, today reviewed the working of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation and emphasised to improve the services for the passengers, besides providing them safe and comfortable services.
He said about adopting new marketing strategies in the Corporation with a view to provide better service to the passengers and to increase the revenue and also directed the Regional Managers to improve cleanliness and general condition of the bus stands and the buses within one month.
He further said that efforts would be made by the Unit Officers to introduce religious tour packages and courier service will be revamped and possibility would be explored for executing home delivery of couriers.
He also announced the introduction of daily confessional tickets for the tourists in Dharmshala, Shimla, Manali and Dalhousie. The smart card scheme will be made attractive as the cost of smart card would be reduced from Rs. 100/- to Rs. 50/-, he added.
