Shimla: An Animal Husbandry spokesman revealed here that Himachal Pradesh has always been a fully bird flu safe state till date.
He said that Rapid Response Teams have been comprised in every district of the State and they have been provided with all required equipments to counter the threat of bird flu.
Moreover, the Veterinary Officers and Veterinary Pharmacists of the Department have been given special training on deterrence and control over bird flu.
He retorted the baseless rumor about poultry products being unsafe and put in the picture that four thousand samples of various Private and Government poultry farms had been sent to High Security Disease Investigation Laboratory, Bhopal, where all these samples were proved to be negative for bird flu.
