Chief Electoral Officer, Manisha Nanda yesterday revealed that Electors Awareness Campaign will be introduced in the State to sentient the masses about their voting rights.
She wants the voters to be aware of their democratic rights and believes that this campaign will be helpful.
Considering the high rate of radio listeners in the state she said that radio advertisements, slogans etc. will be broadcast in public interest by the State Election Department.
She also disclosed that posters have been printed regarding the use of electronic voting machines and besides polling personnel and new voters are also being targeted. Programmes through televisions have been telecast in which demonstration about the use of electronic voting machines was held.
Consequently, hoping to increase the number of voters for the second stage assembly election in the state.
