Shimla: Three persons were burnt alive in a village near Shimla as a blaze reduced the house they were living in to ashes in Padechi village close Junga suburb.
The dead have been identified as Rajinder, his wife Reena and their daughter Sarika. Sewak Ram the house owner, his wife Shanti, one Prem Kumar and a grandson of Sewak, survived the inferno.
The three have suffered serious burn injuries and have been admitted to the state hospital in the capital. Short circuit of electrical connections is believed to have caused the fire, that was noticed at about 2.30 a.m., said police sources.
