Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister, said that the state government would be contemplating upon the proposal to organize special tournaments upto the state level for the special children in the state with a view to make them integral part of the society.
He was addressing the felicitation function organized by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, to honour the special children selected to participate in the Special World Summer Summer Games for the persons with disabilities being held at Shanghai, China from 2nd October to 11th October, 2007.
Chief Minister presented a draft of Rs. 25,000 each to Vikram Chauhan, participating in volley ball; Parnav Sharma, Badminton, Ms. Bharti, Bocce and Deepak Sharma, Cricket, all hailing from Himachal Pradesh.
He congratulated the selected children for getting opportunity to participate in the international event for the special children and wished them best of luck in their performance, which he hoped would bring laurels to the state.
