Himachal MPs stress common approach for industries growth

In a significant development, the industrial fraternity of region has finally found some tangible support from political circles. In a improvement to past situation where industry and those in power were seemed to be lacking unanimous views has finally decided to move on common platform as far as benefits to state industries was concerned.

Cutting party lines the six out of the seven state MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have assured the industries to work out a common proposal for industry betterment. In a meeting held with CII, HP Council at CII New Delhi Headquarter , the six MPs has asked the council to frame an industries growth proposal as per the law. The MPs has further assured the CII delegates to give their full support for any work falling under the law purview.

Mr. Prem Kumar, Ms. Pratibha Sinha, Mr. Chander Kumar and Col. Dhani Ram Shandil the all Lok Sabha MPs, and Ms. Viplope Thakur and Mr. Suresh Bhardwaj the Rajya Sabha MPs took part in meeting. Mr. Anand Sharma the Rajya Sabha MP and Minister of State for External Affairs could not attend the meeting as he was out of country. Led by Mr. Rajinder Guleria the Chairman of HP CII Council the delegates of various industries associations from Baddi, Parwanoo, Kala Amb and Paonta Sahib areas attended the meeting that lasted for three hours.
There should be a legal road map for industries betterment, MPs told the CII delegates. The MPs who have shown great interest in delegation various demands have asked for broader view on future plans rather to limit the things to one spot. Keen to see Himachal a leader in industries growth the MPs has also suggested for combined approach rather to do separate efforts. Give us an agenda we are with you to represent it jointly with central government or with state government, MPs told the delegation.

Buoyed over the development, Mr. Guleria today informed that a professional agency would be hired to prepare the common proposal.
