Himachal forest department is launching a pilot project with the objective to fight global warming and landslide incidents across the state. Project named “Harit Bilaspur” (Green Bilaspur), a three year campaign will be launched coming week in home district of state forest minister, Thakur Ram lal.
Forest departemt will work with local communities for special drives and big scale afforestation will be carried around the district to expand green cover. A total of Rs 34.5 lakh would be total budget for this drive.
