Shimla: Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, said that the creativity amongst the students needed to be promoted and polished at their adolescent age to help them grow into fine personalities capable of meeting any forthcoming challenges in their lives successfully. He was addressing the Sacred Heart School students, parents and teachers on the occasion of staging of a full length one act play “Taj Mahal†directed by the school teacher Mrs. Poonam Sharma, here last evening.
Chief Minister said that the extra-curricular activities were required to be promoted amongst the students with a view for their overall personality development which re-energize them for carrying their academic activities more efficiently. He said that a number of educational institutions had been presenting quality programmes which indicate the interest being taken by the teachers and students in such activities. He said that the staging of ‘Taj Mahal’ by the school children was one of the finest examples created by the Sacred Heart School. He congratulated the school management and the students for the wonderful performance which in no way was less than performed by professional artists.
Bishop Garald John Mathias of Shimla and Chandigarh Diocese said that the endeavor of the school in presenting quality programme was the outcome of the hard work put in by school teachers and the students. He emphasized the need to spread the message of love to every nook and corner besides helping the poor and needy in the hour of distress.
Sister Jecintha, Principal of the school welcomed the Chief Minister and read the annual report of the school. She thanked the Chief Minister for his support for smooth functioning of the school.
