Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of former resident editor of Indian Express late Prem Kumar, who passed away yesterday following brief illness.
Virbhadra Singh called Prem Kumar a dedicated and seasoned journalist who had dedicated his life to the cause of ethical journalism. He said that Kumar was an upright editor whose writings were known for precision, objectivity and analysis of complicated political developments. He said that the responsible reporting during the odd situations were speciality with late Kumar who was capable of handling any adverse and critical situation with highest of the journalistic ethics and responsibility. He said that the contribution of Kumar would be remembered in the media world for years to come and keep inspiring the young journalists to perform their duty by maintaining neutrality in their reporting.
