Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister said that the State Government would sympathetically consider opening of Sub Tehsil at Chadiyar to provide people administrative facilities near their homes. He was addressing a public meeting at Chadiyar in Rajgir Assembly segment of district Kangra today. Chief Minister dedicated Chadiyar Augmented Water Supply Scheme constructed at a cost of Rs. 77.79 lakh to the people of the area.
Chief Minister said that revenue authorities of the district would carry out the initial spade work required for opening of a revenue administrative unit and submit the same to the State Government for taking a final decision in the matter. He said that he personally favoured setting up of a Sub Tehsil in the Changer area which was likely to be brought under the administrative control of Jaisinghpur Sub Division.
Chief Minister said that Chadiyar would witness more development in coming years as vast funds would be made available for development.
Chief Minister also inaugurated the FRU Chadiyar and also inspected the new building. He said that his Government had upgraded the local hospital to FRU where medical services would be available round the clock. He said that specialized medical services would also be provided to patients.
He laid foundation stone of PHC at Tinbar to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 53.08 lakh. Pritam Chand, Director, 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Kamlesh Kumari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Chadiyar and Prabhat Chand, Ex Chairman, Panchayat Samiti also apprised the Chief Minister of various local demands. Dr. Anil Minhas, local leader was also present on the occasion.
