Himachali Handicrafts Exhibition at Chandigarh

An Exhibition of Himachali Handicrafts was put up by the H.P. State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation at Chandigarh today.

Master Painter of Thanka Painting, Shri Chhogain, from village Barang, District Kinnaur inaugurated the exhibition.

Exquisite pure wool Kullu, Kinnauri and Rabbit Wool Angoora Shawls, Woolen Jackets and Coats, intricately embroidered Chamba Rumals, Woodcraft, Jewellery, Metal Craft, Bamboo Material, Indo Himalayan Woolen Carpet and traditional Kangra Painting were some of the major attractions of the Exhibition.

Kangra Tea and Himachal Honey, Ethnic Himachali Dolls, Herbal Products, Grass Pullan, Lahauli Socks, Gem Stone Paintings, Socks and Caps from Bushair and Kullu were also available for purchase in the Exhibition-cum-Sale.

Live demonstrations of Designing, Weaving, Bamboo Crafts and Furniture Carving was also organized.

The Exhibition will remain open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily upto 10th December, 2006.
