Rampuur: The four day long International Lavi Fair concluded at Rampur in district Shimla today.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri V.S. Kokje, Governor said that every effort should be made to preserve our cultural heritage and to restore the old glory of traditional fairs and festivals as they were symbols of rich cultural heritage and promoted national integration and communal harmony besides unity in diversity. He urged the district administration to make a proper plan for marketing the local produce.
Remembering Pt. Nehru on the occasion of Bal Diwas, Shri Kokje urged the people to follow his path as he believed in Secularism, Socialism and Peaceful Co-existence.
Later, Shri V.S. Kokje gave away Shields and Trophies to the winners of various competitions.
Shri Deepak Sood, President, Nagar Parishad, Rampur thanked the Governor.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the artists who came from different parts of the State and outside on the occasion.
Exhibition stalls were put up by various Government Departments to depict various developmental activities during the fair.
