Shimla: To promote organic produce, the agriculture department in collaboration with International Centre for Organic Agriculture and Himachal Tourism is to organize a three day organic fair and food festival here.
The fair would display organic produces, hold workshops and seminars; and organise exposure visits to about 1000 farmers, said an official spokesman.
There are about 25,000 registered farmers who have taken to organic farming in the state.
The fair to be held from June 28 to June 30 would be inaugurated by chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
