Shimla : DLF Pramerica Life Insurance(DPLI) made a foray into Himachal Pradesh Wednesday by opening its first branch office in Shimla .
DPLI is a joint venture between real estate developer DLF and Prudential International Insurance Holdings(PIIH) a US based company .
Inaugurating the new office Maninder Sood, executive vice president DPLI said , “The opening of our office in Shimla marks our entry into Himachal a region where there is a lot of potential for life insurance business . We now have 26 offices all over north Indiaâ€
“DPLI started operations in India three years ago and is expanding its presence in the country in a phased manner. We now have 40 branch offices and 86 branch units in Delhi NCR , Haryana , Punjab , Uttarakhand and Gujarat ,†Sood told the Hill Post .
