Shimla: Police on Tuesday nabbed one person with 6.5 Kgs of high value contraband ‘Charas’ at Rampur in Shimla district.
Investigating officer Bhagat Ram disclosed that police while on patrol, in Rampur, rounded up Sangat Ram, a resident of Dalear village in Kullu district, who was moving about under suspicious conditions.
A search on him was conducted and 6.5 Kgs of Charas was recovered from a bag in his possession, said the police officer.
Sangat has been arrested and a case under Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered, he said.
