Himachal to ensure 50 per cent quota in private institutes

Drang: State Government would ensure a minimum 50 percent of the seats to the State students in various Private Universities and vocational institutions affiliated to international universities being encouraged to open in the State as Par Excellence Learning Centers in order to make the State a Knowledge State and to supplement the endeavour of the State Government. This was releaved by Shri Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister while addressing a mammoth public meeting at Padhar in Drang Assembly Segment of District Mandi after laying the foundation-stone of Panjori Nallah Water Supply Scheme for Padhar, Drang, Tandu, Katindhi and Kufri group of villages to be constructed at a cost of Rs 13.62 crore, benefiting 40,000 people of 128 villages of 16 Gram Panchayats of the area. He inaugurated the newly opened Govt Degree College at Padhar and dedicated 33 K.V Sub-Station constructed at the cost of Rs. 2.32 crore at Sauli Khud, Mandi today.
