Shimla: Traumatic accident of November has not yet faded from people’s heart while we hear of another accident at Shimla.
Fortunately, no loss of life is reported but about 56 persons are injured, two seriously when a Himachal roadways bus came off the road close to Barthata village in Jubbal on Tuesday morning.
Shakauntla Devi (47) and Moninder (28) the two seriously injured have been moved to IGMC hospital in Shimla, JS Rana, district collector informed.
Jubbal police station spokesman Mukesh Kumar informed that the bus was carrying about 60 passengers when it went off the road after having traveled a few kilometers in the morning.
The bus which was on it way to Shimla met with the accident at about 7.45 a.m, he said.
Horticulture minister Narender Bragta, who is also the local representative of the area, forgoing a cabinet meeting rushed to the accident site to supervise rescue and relief operations and disbursed an immediate assistance of Rs. 64,000 to the injured.
