Copenhagen, June 6 (IANS) Denmark beat Georgia 2-1 in friendly warm-up match before the next round of FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
In the match played Wednesday night at the Aalborg Stadium, Georgia’s Dzariav opened the scoring seven minutes into second half, reports Xinhua.
Fourteen minutes later Danish Nicklas Pedersen made it 1-1. The Danes then missed a host of chances but in the 88th minute Christian Eriksen sealed the victory for Denmark with a perfect long shot that hit the right corner of the goal.
Denmark will meet Armenia next Tuesday in the Brazil World Cup qualifying round in Parken here.
