Shimla: National Women Sports Event is being organized from 26th to 29th December, 2008 at Hamirpur, revealed a Spokesman of the Youth Services and Sports Department. About 1500 female sportspersons are expected to participate in the Hockey, Badminton, Lawn Tennis and Athletics competitions, he added.
Throwing light upon the venues of the sports he said that Hockey matches will be held in NIT ground Hamirpur, Government Polytechnic Hamirpur and Sujanpur Tihra ground, Lawn Tennis matches in NIT ground Hamirpur, Athletics competitions in Government College Hamirpur whereas Badminton matches would be held in Town Hall and Paddal Badminton Hall Mandi.
