Shimla: Sixteen passengers were injured, one seriously, when a Himachal roadways bus that failed to negotiate a sharp turn on the outskirts of the city went off the road and came to halt against a tree after having rolled over once.
Police official Satya Prakash, after having supervised the rescue and relief operation said, “Sixteen persons have been brought to IGMC hospital for treatment. A lady passenger who is yet to be identified is serious.”
The bus was on its way from Shimla to Dahmun, when it met with an accident at about 4 p.m. about 14 kilometers from here.
Cause of the accident could not be immediately ascertained.
