Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) Actress Sonam Kapoor is excited about walking on the red carpet at the 66th edition of Cannes International Film Festival this year and has already left for the venue.
The 27-year-old will be at Cannes as brand ambassador of beauty brand L’Oreal Paris which completes 16 years as the official make-up artist for the film fest.
“On my way to the Cannes Film Festival. Really excited to walk the red carpet,” Sonam tweeted.
The film festival will begin May 15 and conclude May 26. Other Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai will also be present there.

Priyanka’s last day on ‘Zanjeer’ sets
Actress Priyanka Chopra will Monday finish shooting for upcoming movie “Zanjeer”, which is the remake of the 1973 film by the same name.
Last seen in “Barfi!”, Priyanka has been juggling time between her musical career and Bollywood and apologised to her fans for not being regular on Twitter.
“Sorry I disappeared… Had to deal with some trash… But back! Thank God for small mercies… last day on ‘Zanjeer’… let’s go,” the 30-year-old tweeted
The remake of “Zanjeer” also features Ram Charan Teja and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.

Maria Goretti looking forward to ‘The Great Gatsby’
Anchor and actress Maria Goretti is looking forward to watching megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Hollywood movie “The Great Gatsby”.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film marks Amitabh’s Hollywood debut. He plays Meyer Wolfsheim in the $125 million 3D project, a big screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name.
The movie also stars Tobey Maguire and Leonardo Di Caprio.
The novel has been adapted in various movie versions thrice earlier.
“Watched the 1974 ‘The Great Gatsby’ last night. But looking forward to Baz Luhrmann’s version for Leonardo DiCaprio and our legend Mr.Bachchan,” she tweeted.
The movie will also be screened at the Cannes International Film Festival starting May 15.
