Shimla: Erstwhile summer capital of British India, Shimla finally hopes to breathe a sigh of relief from traffic-congestion in the city.
Global Energy Basil (GBL) of Germany is planning a comprehensive mobility scheme drafted by the municipal corporation of Shimla. This plan, if it sees the light of the day, would require an investment of around 3,000 crores.
If implemented and executed well, this mobility scheme will ensure an advanced transportation system in the coming days for the queen of hills.
GBL has also invited the Shimla municipal corporation to Germany for presentation on the particular project, in the month of January next year.
The capital city of Himachal Pradesh is all stressed out and crying out loud for a rescue due to unplanned constructions, surging local population, increasing tourist flow and above all – callousness of the political class.
For now, Shimla residents can now find a solace in the news.
