Shimla: A Havan was organized today by Sanskriti Uthan Manch, Shimla and other religious institutions on the auspicious occasion of the beginning of Vikrami Samwat-2065 (Hindu New Year).
V.S. Kokje, Governor was chief guest at the Havan Ceremony at the Ridge Maidan.
Guv said Vikrami Samvat-2065 is a step towards projecting sanctity of our magnificent cultural legacy and is also a precursor of peace and prosperity of the Nation and society as a whole. He congratulated the organizers on the occasion of revivifying the ‘Rashtriya Panchang’ calculation calendar of this year.
Governor released the Nav Samvat Calender 2065 and took round of the exhibition installed by Sewa Bharti Unit, Shimla.
