Manali: In a significant development a special three day camp was organized at local Lady Willingdon hospital on Cosmetic surgery by Smile Train an NGO. It is learnt that through palates and lips were operated.
While speaking to local media persons here on Monday Dr Sanjay Sharane said that the cosmetic surgery would be conducted free of charge adding that this NGO had carried out three lakh fourteen thousand successful cosmetic surgery in 173 countries. He further said that this kind of surgery took the time from 45 minutes to one hour and the patients could be discharged within 24 hours. He said that cosmetic surgery was very safe being qualitative.
Dr. Sharane assured that there was no risk to life in this kind of surgery. He disclosed that in India three persons against one thousand required such kind of treatment. He said that surgery could be performed on patient of the age of three months and above. Dr Philip Alexander Medical superintendent of the hospital said that one gynecologist would be inducted in the Lady Willingdon hospital soon and surgery of uterus would be conducted through leproscopy. He also said that an Eye Camp would also be organized at the hospital in first week of July next.
