Shimla : A blizzard hit Manali dumping heavy snowfall in this popular resort town Monday , cutting off the hill station from the rest of the country for the second day .
Till Monday evening the accumulated snowfall in Manali is around 48 inches(4 feet) residents told the Hill Post by phone .
Life is completely paralysed here with people confined to their homes . The snowfall is even heavier towards the Solang slopes overlooking the town . The town is shivering without electricity.
The state capital Shimla also recorded light snowfall and sleet , the town was lashed by icy winds for much of the day .
The ski resorts of Kufri and Narkanda have received fresh snowfall blocking the hindustan tibet road .
The tribal belt of Kinnuar , Lahaul , Spiti, Pangi and Dodra Kwar received yet another spell of heavy snowfall .
This high mountain frozen region remains cut of from the rest of the country since December .
