Shimla : With the death of a man reportedly due to rabies in Himachal Pradesh Kangra valley terrified people in the area are going in for the anti-rabies vaccine shots .
According to reports a man in Tikkar village near Panchrukhi died of the dreaded disease Saturday .
Family members said the man was bitten by a rabied dog some three months ago .
By the time he was admitted to the Tanda hospital the disease had spread so much that he could not be treated .
Media reports said a team of the state health department also visited the house and the village to vaccinate and counsel people .
