New Delhi : A two-day literature festival, “Samanvay: IHC Bharatiya Bhasa Mahotsav”, will bring more than 60 award-winning writers to the capital to discuss issues vital to the growth of contemporary Indian literature.
The festival will begin Dec 16 at the India Habitat Centre.
The inaugural session will debate “Is There An Indian Literature”- in this age of global concerns.
The session will feature acclaimed literary personalities like Kunwar Narain, UR Ananthamurthy, K. Satchidanandan, Dalip Kaur Tiwana,Lakshman Gaikwad, Ashok Vajpeyi and Om Prakash Valmiki.
The second day of the festival will host literary discussions on”Punjab: Dalit Love Poetry”, “Assam: Challenges for Women Writers”,”Malayalam: Autobiographies from the Margins”, “Urdu: Death of Mushayara”, “Tamil: Women Writing the Body”, “Hindi: Search for Readers” and “Bengali: Poetry and Popularity.
