Assembly Elections, A Hung Assembly Not A Feasibility: Shanta Kumar

shanta.JPGSenior BJP leader Shanta Kumar at a press conference in Mandi claimed that the BJP would come back to power in the state winning a two thirds majority. He said that the electoral contest is only between the Congress and BJP, as BSP (Bhaujan Samaj Party) does not have a strong base in Himachal Pradesh – thus clearly hinting towards the impossibility of a hung assembly.

Further he added that BJP will work for the welfare of the people with a clean, efficient and transparent administration without compromising with the corrupt elements. A special “transfer policy” will be prepared to safeguard the interests of the government employees, as transfer cases are rooting into an illegal industry due to which employees have to face difficulty.

Moreover, when coming into power BJP would review the Himalayan Ski Village project at Manali in Kullu district and will incorporate all safeguards to protect it’s environment, said Mr. Kumar. The former chief minister also said that BJP would work towards harnessing the huge tourism potential of Himachal Pradesh in which the present Government has proved completely inept.
