Dehra Dun : Renowned environmentalist associated with the Chipko Andolan in the Garhwal hills of Uttarakhand, Sundarlal Bahuguna, also a recipient of the Padam Shri, was admitted to the Jollygrant Hospital Friday after complaining of chest pain.
The 84-year-old environmentalist complained of difficulty in breathing about four days back at his Tehri residence and was brought to Dehra Dun about two days ago. Initially he was advised bed rest at his residence here, but on complaining of chest pain last evening, he was shifted to the Jollygrant Hospital where he has been admitted in the ICU.
Dr P C Patahak who is attending on the ailing environmentalist said that various tests had been undertaken and their results were awaited, but his position was stable.
