Shimla: A case was registered in the year 2005 under Prevention of Corruption Act against Sh Mo hinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Kotli, District Mandi in Po lice Station, SV & ACB, Mandi for giving utilization certificate for repairs of Patwarkhana buildings whereas no repair actually was undertaken.
Investigation substantiated the allegations that he had misappropriated the money sanctioned for repair of Patwarkhana buildings and charge sheet was accordingly filed in the court of Additional Special Judge Mandi after obtaining sanction for prosecution.
After trial the court has convicted the accused and sentenced him to undergo two years imprisonment and pay fine of Rs.50,000/- on 18.8.2011.
