HIMACHAL TO EXTEND DENTAL CARE TO PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE LEVEL

cmjune10.JPGThe state government would extend the dental health facilities down to the primary health centre level by the end of current financial year. This was revealed by Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, while addressing the two-days long 114th General Body Meeting of the Dental Council of India, organized by the Himachal Pradesh Government Dental College, which he inaugurated by lighting a lamp at the Fairlawns, here today.

He said that the state had one government and four private dental colleges imparting quality education to students, having an annual intake capacity of 320 students, producing high dental professionals.

He said that the state has one dental doctor for every 10 thousand people while at national level it is one doctor for every 50 thousand people.
