All courts in Himachal Pradesh will be fully computerized in phased manner to ensure optimum use of Information Technology in Court works said State Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while speaking in the Chief Ministers/Chief Justices Conference in Vigyan Bhawan at Delhi today.
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh told that Himachal Pradesh High Court has been fully computerizedcourts of Districts and Session Judge Shimla and other city Courts located in Shimla and has also been computerized during last financial year.
Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy has been set up for training and orientations of Judicial Officers for sound and efficient judicial administrations. He said that academy has already started imparting induction training and refresher courses to the judicial officers and court staff.
He said that 3836 Lok Adalats were held from 1990 to February, 2007 in the State and added that 66120 cases were finally settled and more than 3000 cases by the Lok Adalats. He said that Lok Adalats have been very successful in settlement of motor accident claim cases, matrimony/ family disputes and bank loan recovery cases etc.
He said that budget provision of Rs. 1436 lakhs has been made for constructions of Judicial Court Complexes and Residential Complexes in the State.
He said that six new courts have been created recently at Civil Judge level in the State and added that a permanent three level mechanism has been institutionalized for sorting out issues relating to implementations of Judicial Reforms measures particularly where State Government facilitations is required.
