Kullu : Rich cultural and religious art of Himachal Pradesh is to be exhibited on a global platform where well known artist Deep Dhananjay presents his remarkable artwork “Himachal ki pavitra goonj” (The Sacred Echo of Himachal) in Paris in November-December.
The exhibition is curated by Anant Jain of Spandan Art Group, Mumbai, who confirmed that Dhananjay’s painting will be a part of an international art festival going to be held in Paris. In this festival representing India, the artwork of Dhananjay would be showcasing the glimpse into Himachal’s deep-rooted deity culture.
In his art work Dhananjay beautifully depicts the sacred emblems (called moharas in local dialect) and inner sanctum and sanctorum (called garbhagriha in Hindi) of the presiding deities from all 12 districts of state. The painting includes the spiritual essence of the every region and corner, narrating its own story of faith, devotion and dedication towards the Divine.

Whether it’s Bijli Mahadev Shivling, the ancient idol of Lord Raghunath from Treta Yuga, the eternal and Divine flames of Goddess Jwala Ji or the symbolic emblems and chariots of the serpent deities (Nag Devtas), this artwork beautifully displays the centuries of worship, belief systems of the Himachal community.
The painting also honors the Shakti Peeths of goddesses like Maa Hadimba, Devi Bhimakali, Devi Chintpurni, Naina Devi, Mata Baglamukhi, Mata Shoolini, and Jwala Ji as eternal guardians of Sanatan Dharma. Along with them Lakshmi Narayan, Kamrunag, Trilok Nath, and Kinner Kailash stand as living symbols of the Himalayas’ sacred vitality.
According to Dhananjay, “This is not just a painting, but a cultural symphony, where belief in deities and their powers are an integral part of human life. Have already put up exhibitions about Himachal’s culture in many countries, Dhananjay continues his mission is to bring the divine resonance of the Himalayas to the world. This Paris exhibition will once again affirm Himachal Pradesh’s unique place in the global artistic and cultural landscape.
