Himachal clears eight more industrial units

The State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority in its 26th Meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister granted provisional permission for setting up of eight more industrial units in the industrial areas of the State with an investment of Rs. 1406.93 crore and employment potential of 2,029 persons at different levels.

Chief Minister said that the State had succeeded in attracting an investment of Rs. 24,881.46 crore during last four years and created employment potential of 3,13,389 at all levels after the implementation of the Special Package of the Government of India announced for the State. He said that 8,678 new industrial units had been granted permission for setting up in the State during last four years and a renewed momentum given to the industrialization in the State.
Virbhadra Singh said that his Government had set up the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority for planned development of the industrial areas and adequate funds had been placed at its disposal for undertaking the developmental and planning work of the upcoming industrial townships in the State. He said that the industrialists had also been requested to liaison with the Authority for all their problems and get the same redressed at that level so that they did not face any difficulty in completion of codal formalities at the Government level.
