Chief Minister said that State Government was paying special attention towards girls education and made their education free from the lowest to highest academic standards. He was addressing a public meeting at Nandloon in Kangra Sub Division of district Kangra last evening. He dedicated the Samirpur-Tiara-Phase III LWSS completed at a cost of Rs. 61.26 lakh to the people of the area.
Chief Minister said that educating the girl was more important to educate the society and added that by educating a girl, the entire family gets educated. He said that special programmes were under implementation in the developmental blocks with low female literacy to bring them at par with other areas. He said that State Government was taking initiatives to provide education to girls and added that in a number of schools and colleges, girls had outnumbered the boys and resultant achievements too were better than expected. He said that girls had been rated as more serious students compared to many boys in general context. .
CM Siingh said that Himachal Pradesh was the land of Gods and goddesses and people were peace loving, honest and god fearing. He said that peace, good governance, best law and order conditions were some of the factors to carry out development at a faster pace and the State had made rapid strides. He said that rural development formed top agenda as most of the population lived in villages and added that all the basic amenities were available in the villages which were being consolidated and augmented to meet growing demands of the people.
