The highlight of the celebration will be a silver jubilee reunion program, which includes a series of events scheduled over two days. On May 12th, a special interaction session will take place in the lecture theater at Tanda Medical College, featuring Dr. Milap Sharma, the current Principal, as the chief guest, and Dr. Suresh Sankhyan, the former Principal, as the guest of honor. Additionally, attendees will enjoy a photo exhibition that chronicles the college’s history and the pivotal moments of its first batch of students.

Dr. Lokesh, Assistant Professor of Radiology at AIIMS Bilaspur, shared insights into the program’s lineup and significance. “It’s a momentous occasion for all of us who started our journey in medicine at Tanda. This reunion is not just about reminiscing but also celebrating our collective achievements and the tough journey we undertook for the recognition of our college,” he said.

The reunion events will kick off with evening programs on May 11th at Hotel Dhauladhar Hights in Dharamshala. In keeping with local tradition, the world-famous Kangri Dham will also be organized, offering a taste of regional cuisine amidst the festivities.

Dr. Lokesh said, “This gathering is particularly special for this batch, which faced significant challenges during their academic years, including a strenuous fight for college recognition that cost them two academic years. Their efforts not only shaped their careers but also played a crucial role in establishing the college’s foundation.”

As these pioneering doctors return to their roots, the reunion promises to be a blend of nostalgia, celebration, and homage to their early struggles and triumphs.
