Nauni (HP): The 12th Convocation of Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni will be held on December 9, 2023. The Governor of Himachal Pradesh and Chancellor of the University Shiv Pratap Shukla will preside over the convocation function.
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh will be the Chief Guest of the function held at Dr LS Negi auditorium of the university. Several dignitaries from the state and Indian Council of Agricultural Research will also be attending the event.
A total of 1,311 degrees including 658 undergraduate, 565 postgraduate and 88 doctorate degrees in Horticulture and Forestry, B Tech Biotechnology, and MBA programs will be awarded during the conference. In addition, 23 gold medals and 773 certificates of Merit will also be awarded during the convocation ceremony.
Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, and Dr. R. C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Education), Indian Council of Agricultural Research will be conferred with Honorary Doctorate degrees during the convocation for their contributions to their respective fields. During the event, a skill development hostel and Vivekananda Yog and Meditation Centre will also be inaugurated.
