Dharamshala: The Dalai Lama, the 88-year-old Tibetan spiritual leader, embarked on a religious discourse in the North-eastern states of India. He flew out from Gaggal Airport in Dharamsala for Sikkim and Salugara.
During his visit to Sikkim from December 12 to 14, 2023, he is scheduled to give teachings. On December 12, the Dalai Lama will impart teachings on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo’s “37 Practices of a Bodhisattva” at Paljor Stadium, as per the request of the Sikkim State Government. On December 14, he will give a general teaching followed by the Ceremony for the Generation of Bodhicitta at Sed-Gyued Monastery.
Following his visit to the Northeast, His Holiness is expected to travel to Bodh Gaya from December 20, 2023, to January 1, 2024. The engagements during this period include an inauguration program, a prayer session, teachings, and a long life offering ceremony.
