APG Shimla To Hold One Day Free Medical Camp

Shimla: As part of a community reach out program, APG Shimla University’s School of Paramedical Sciences and Himachal Government’s Medical and Family Welfare Department plans to organize a one-day free medical camp on Friday, March 17.

The camp would be held between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at APG University campus in which general medical check-up, medical check-up for eye and dental diseases and medicines will be distributed.

Vice-chancellor of APG Shimla University and head of department of paramedical sciences Dr. Prachi Vaid said that the medical camp is being organized with the aim of making the general public aware of health concerns.

Residents of Beolia and Rajhana village panchayats and other walk-in residents of the neighbourhood are expected to benefit from this camp.

A team of specialist doctors, (optometrists, dental hygienists) medical officials from the government health services would be available for conducting the free medical check-up for eye and dental diseases and would also give medical advice about prevention of diseases.

A university spokesman stated that the free bus services would be made available by  APG Shimla University from Panthaghati to the university campus starting at 10 a.m. till the conclusion of the medical camp.
