Dharamshala: At the three-day 38th State Level Youth Festival organized here from December 28 the district of Bilaspur won the first place in folk dance competition, Sirmour district was declared winner in Ekanki (One Act Play) and district Kullu captured was adjudged best in folk song competition.
Sirmour district was first in traditional/folk instrument competition and classical singing competition while Hamirpur captured the top position in harmonium playing, Kangra in sitar playing, Kullu in tabla playing and district Solan in Kathak dance.
About 500 participants from all over the state displayed their art during the three-day state level youth festival which concluded Here on Friday.
Kewal Singh Pathania, the newly elected MLA from Shahpur assembly constituency gave away the prizes to the winners.
The winning youth of the competition will go on to participate in the National Youth Festival to be held in Karnataka.
