New Delhi: The Embassy of Israel in India hosted a special session in Delhi on September 1, bringing together top business leaders, industrialists and prominent entrepreneurs from both countries to discuss potential areas of cooperation and scope for public-private partnerships.
This session was organised in collaboration with The Economic Times India Leadership Council and The Israel Economic & Commercial Mission in the embassy.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Israel in India H.E. Naor Gilon said, “It was a great pleasure to host companies and business people from India. This further strengthened the business and economic ties between both countries. It was also special because both nations are celebrating 30 years of friendship and bilateral relations. Israel and India are natural partners and both share an appetite for technological innovation. This is evident from the fact that Indian and Israeli companies are collaborating and developing cutting-edge technologies together.”
During the session, Natasha Zangin, the Head of the Economic and Commercial Mission at the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, shared her knowledge and thoughts about the economy of Israel and the emerging opportunities for trade collaborations between Israel and India.
She also presented the goals and activities of the Israel Economic and Commercial Mission in Delhi, which promotes, enhances and facilitates trade, investment and industrial R&D between Israel and India.
The overall session presented the growing business opportunities between both countries. The bilateral trade between the two nations was over $6 billion in 2021.
The session facilitated dialogue and networking between the Indian and Israeli companies and entrepreneurs. It also witnessed participation of Israeli and Indian speakers, who are high-level experts in the fields of technology and innovation. Some of these speakers joined the session virtually from Israel. They shared their thoughts and experiences about the Israeli ecosystem for innovation, Israel-India economic partnership and growth opportunities for Israeli companies in India.
