Dharamshala: Spiritual leader of the Tibetans, the Dalai Lama returned here this morning after more than a month-long sojourn in Ladakh. He had left for the Ladakh tour on 14 July. This was the Dalai Lama’s first trip outside Dharamshala since Covid-19 struck in 2020.
The Dalai Lama reached here by air from Delhi, where he stayed for a couple of days on his way back from Leh.
Dalai lama was welcomed by local Tibetans, devotees and well-wishers.
Apart from this Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra, Security Kalon Dolma Gyari and the heads of Tibetan non-governmental organisations were also present to receive him at Gaggal Airport.
