AAP For Better Govt Schools, Hospitals, Corruption Free Government – Arvind Kejriwal

Dharamshala: Targeting the BJP government in Himachal, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal at a public meeting said that AAP has been giving corruption-free governance to Delhi for many years, if given a chance, a similar governance shall be given to Himachal also.

In a 20 minute speech on Saturday at Chambi, near Dharamshala, Kejriwal targeted Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that Jai Ram Thakur is so afraid of Aam Aadmi Party that he had started cheating by blatantly adopting AAP policies. Kejriwal said,” Thakur recently announced to give 125 units of electricity free to Himachalis and was even snubbed by PM Modi to not make such offers.”

He said, “if BJP is really serious about providing such relief to the public then they should make such announcements in other BJP ruled states of Haryana, MP and Gujarat also.

In a month, it was Kejriwal second visit to Himachal Pradesh. With assembly elections slated for later in the year Kejriwal claimed that he had information that the Modi government would announce elections a few months earlier than when the government is due to complete its term, but AAP would win in Himachal, no matter when the elections are called.

Kejriwal took a dig at Jai Ram Thakur about the condition of government schools in Himachal. He said that the people needed to come to Delhi and see state of government schools there. Not only had the condition of government schools improved but the standard of education had improved tremendously.

“I invite the public of HP along with CM Jai Ram Thakur to visit government schools in Delhi. We have improved the schools so much in the past 5 years that the board results of government schools was 99.7% this year. And seeing this improvement, 4 lakh children have shifted from private schools to government schools. We have also restricted private schools from raising fees for the past 7 years“ said Kejriwal. He said that only AAP can improve schools in HP.

Kejriwal said that the government hospitals have also been improved in Delhi and everybody is being given free medical facilities in Delhi.
