Dharamshala: On learning that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has tested positive for Coronavirus, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has written to him to express sympathy and concern.
The Dalai Lama said in his message “I pray that you will make a swift recovery. As you know, I have enormous respect for you and count you as an old friend.”
He further said, “I hope we may see an early end to the Coronavirus pandemic poses as it threatens every nation across the world.”
His Holiness ended his letter by again offering his prayers and good wishes.
Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) with a fever on Tuesday. The 88-year- veteran Congress leader was admitted at around 5 pm yesterday and administered a Covid test.
He has received two doses of Covaxin and was, according to sources, hospitalised as “a matter of precaution”.
