Dharamshala: Sujan Singh Pathania, MLA of Fatehpur, Vidhan Sabha constituency and former Transport and Energy Minister of District Kangra, died Thursday night. Pathania, 86, was suffering from various diseases for the last few years. He was undergoing treatment in Chandigarh and Ludhiana for a long time.
Sujan Singh Pathania has been instrumental in the development of Fatehpur. The result of this was that when he was not able to get out of the house due to illness since the 2019 assembly elections and was in bed even though he was elected as the legislator by the public. Due to sickness, he was unable to attend the assembly session even once in the last three years.
Pathania was considered close to Virbhadra Singh and was a minister in his cabinet during two terms.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur and many political leaders have sent condolence messages on the death of Pathania.
