Dharamshala: To encourage girl students to compete for the best institutions in the country, under the Beti Padhao – Beti Bachao Abhiyan, meritorious daughters are to be provided with two years of free coaching facility for IIT, JEE and NEET competitive examinations by district administration of Kangra.
Raghav Sharma, Kangra disrtict offical made this discloure while presiding over the review meeting of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign here on Wednesday.
Raghav Sharma said, “ the Jijivisha(????????) program has been started by the district administration under Beti Padhao Beti Bachao Abhiyan and a provision has been made to give free coaching to daughters under it. For this, an online screening test will be conducted on August 2, 2020, In which 26 meritorious girl students will be selected for coaching.”
He further said, “He said that the students studying in Government Senior Secondary schools in ten plus one science faculty can apply for online screening. For this, the concerned school management or the office of Deputy Director Education Department can be contacted.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that for the smooth implementation of Jeejivisha program, which was launched to improve the sex ratio in Kangra district will be ensured, in all the panchayats and flex poster of daughters shall be set up in panchayats who have achieved commendable achievements under ‘Beti Hamari Shan’. In addition to this, daughters doing excellent work at the block level will also be made block ambassadors so that society can be inspired by them.
He said that strict measures will also be taken to curb female feticide and the citizens who give information about female feticide will be given a cash prize of twenty thousand by the district administration, the identity of these informers will be kept secret.
